The ongoing season of Indian Premier League (IPL) is witnessing records after records. During the clash between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium on IPL Match 45, star batter KL Rahul ahieved a new milestone. The LSG skipper completed a half-century to give his team a terrific start to the match. Rahul put up a 95-run partnership with Deepak Hooda. While he propelled his side to a big total, he also achieved a rare IPL feat. By virtue of his strike, Rahul completed 400 runs in ongoing season. The cricketer has competed this milestone for the fifth consecutive season. He has now become only the third batter after Suresh Raina and Shikhar Dhawan to score 400 or more runs in five or more consecutive IPL seasons. Rahul’s IPL fortunes changed for the better after joining Punjab Kings in 2018 when he scored 659 runs during the season. At the 2022 IPL auction, KL Rahul was picked by LSG for 17 crore.
