Nathuram Godse Education – Nathuram Godse Education Qualification
His early education was completed from his local school. But later he was sent to Pune where he could get knowledge as well as English language. During this time, he was greatly influenced by the idea of Gandhiji, he began to consider Gandhiji as his ideal. In the year 1930, his father was changed to Ratnagiri town in Maharashtra. He started living in Ratnagiri with his family.
During that time he met a supporter of Hindutva, whose name Veer Savarkar Was. And from here he decided to go into politics. He became an activist of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Hindu Mahasabha. Godse established a Marathi newspaper for the Hindu Mahasabha, which was pioneered, which came to be known as Hindu Rashtra only a few years later.
Nathuram Godse Those who respected Gandhiji were in the front row, but after the change of power, the change that was seen in Gandhism was not only Nathuram but the entire nationalist youth was sad. Nathuram did not want to allow the partition of India. Yet at that time the National Congress, which was led by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, was in favor of partitioning India. Which was also supported by Gandhiji, and India was divided into two.
At the time of the partition of India and Pakistan, Pakistan had to pay 75 crores rupees. Out of which 20 crores had been given. At the same time Pakistan invaded Kashmir province of India, due to which the Government of India, under the leadership of the then Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Home Minister Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel, decided not to give Rs 55 crore to Pakistan. Gandhiji sat on hunger strike against this decision of the Government of India. And Godse at that time was opposed to Gandhiji’s doctrine of “fasting till death”.
Why Nathuram Godse Killed Gandhi? – Nathuram Godse Biography
Nathuram Godse There was a person who was very difficult to get to know. It was difficult to get to know them closely because the Indian government did not let all the information about them, all the statements and documents become public. A few years ago his statements and documents were brought to the fore, suggesting that Godse was not a fundamentalist. His statements show that he was very quiet in nature.
Nathuram Godse If he wanted, he could easily run away by killing Gandhiji in the midst of the crowd or he could even make such a plan to kill Gandhiji, in which he escaped unscathed. But he did not do so because he did not have personal enmity with Gandhiji, rather he wanted to kill Gandhiji’s principles for which he had to kill Gandhiji. Godse surrendered immediately after killing Gandhiji.
On 13 January, Gandhiji sat on a “fast till death” fast against this decision of the Government of India. The central government had to change its decision and announced to give Rs 55 crore to Pakistan. Since then Nathuram had decided to kill Gandhiji.
Nathuram Godse Wrote the last article in his magazine “Leader” in which he wrote “Gandhiji should be stopped at any cost” and he had made the assassination of Gandhiji irrevocable. In Nathuram’s words, “I do not refute the principle of non-violence of Gandhiji.” He may be a saint but not a politician.
His doctrine of non-violence was for self-defense and self-interest. Partition of the country was an unnecessary decision. Gandhiji had earlier said that Pakistan would be built on his corpse but later he withdrew his decision. There was not so much percentage of Muslim people in the country to divide the country. There was no need to create a new country. But at the behest of Jinnah, Gandhiji favored him and the country was divided. Individual decision cannot be bigger than country.
In democracy, you cannot fulfill your demands at the tip of the wheel. Jinnah did the same and Gandhiji cut the country in two with the same speed. He cut off the country and gave a part to Pakistan. We staged a protest against it, but all was in vain. Our father played his paternal responsibility towards Pakistan and forced the cabinet to fast unto death.
Today Muslim people demanded a piece of the country and tomorrow Sikhs will demand a separate nation Punjab. Where was Gandhiji’s theory of a nation gone? Why did we fight together for the independence of India from the British? Why didn’t we fight separately? India was liberated from the British government, then where did Pakistan come from? Subhash Chandra Bose never demanded independent Bengal and Bhagat Singh never demanded independent Punjab? If all of them wanted this, they could have demanded a separate nation after the country became independent, then why did we only listen to Jinnah?
Nathuram Godse Biography
Nathuram Godse Had also said in his statement in court that “I openly murdered Gandhiji in front of the public and I consider it my duty. If I had killed him secretly, I would consider it a crime in my eyes, I respect him for what Gandhiji has done for the country, before firing on him I bowed before him because I respected him. But even the greatest Mahatma does not have the right to divide the motherland by deceiving the people, for Gandhi’s piece of land there was no such court and law that should be considered criminal on the basis of this, so I shot Gandhi. “
However, when Mahatma Gandhi’s son Devdas Gandhi arrived in jail to meet Nathuram Godse, Nathuram Godse told Devdas Gandhi that he had murdered his father for political reasons, which further complicated the mystery of Mahatma Gandhi’s murder. After this, Mahatma Gandhi’s sons tried to meet Nathuram Godse several times, but his appeal was rejected.
So friends, now you tell me whether it was right for Nathuram Godse to kill Gandhiji? Nathuram Godse gave his statement before the court in which his motive was very clear that he wanted to kill Gandhiji’s principles, not Gandhiji. You should not forget to share it and write your thoughts in the comments.
