- Ritika’s husband Akash had arrived at her apartment building’s gate at 10:36 am along with two ladies and two men. In an interview, while talking to the reporters, the building’s guard Munna said,
Akash came with four people. When I asked about the ladies, he said that her name is Sunita and they were visiting someone on Flat no. 601. Within 15-20 minutes, a loud voice was heard of someone falling. People started gathering, so I closed the gate.” - After reaching the apartment, he had a heated conversation with Ritika, Reportedly, Akash pushed Ritika from the apartment’s balcony, she fell and died on the spot.
- Reportedly, Ritika was living with her boyfriend Vipul, who is married to a dentist named Deepali, and the couple has 10 years old son.
- At the time of her death, she was residing in Flat No. 404, Om Shree Apartment, Agra. While talking to the local police, her live-in partner Vipul (whom she met through Facebook) said that he tried to protect her when her husband rushed into the apartment to attack her, but her husband tied Vipul’s hands and locked him in the bathroom.
- The SSP of Agra, Sudhir Kumar Singh said,
The police received information about a woman’s death after falling off the fourth floor of the building. The building in question was located in the Nagla Mewati area. Singh added that when the police investigated the matter, they found that Ritika Singh was living with a friend named Vipul in Omshree Apartments. Her husband and his family members came to the flat and argued with her. A struggle ensued in which Ritika’s hands were tied, and then she was pushed off the balcony. She suffered severe injuries after the fall and was rushed to the nearest hospital. However, she was declared dead on arrival.”
