Sukhpal Singh is an Indian actor who is known for playing the role of Harman Sandhu in the TV show Udaariyaan on Colors TV.

Sukhpal Singh was born on 21 July and he hails from Jalandhar, Punjab. He did his schooling at Victor Model Senior Secondary School, Jalandhar. He pursued a Bachelor of Arts at Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. After joining the college in 2001, he started working as a theatre artist. Later, he attended an NSD acting workshop at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He actively participated in Youth fests during his college days in which he used to write, direct, and act in plays.

Career

During his college days, he started working as a Dance trainer. He worked as a dance trainer for seven years, specializing in Bollywood and Salsa. In 2001, he started his acting career as a theatre artist. In 2002, he made his acting debut with a devotional film on Mahavira, directed by Pardeep Dhiman from Phagwara, in which he played the role of a Deity. However, he met with an accident in 2006 and had a knee injury, following which he had to quit his dancing profession. Around 2009-10, he moved to London for a while. After returning from London, he became a full-time actor in 2013-14. On PTC Punjabi he appeared on the Tv Shows Raavi Paar and Zameer. He has also worked for the Doordarshan TV channel, where he performed comedy skits. Until 2015, he was associated with Pragati Productions Jalandhar, where he played Paul, one of the protagonists, in the show Mr Paul & Paali.

He worked as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations of the Punjab-based media and entertainment company Iconic Media. In 2015, he hosted the TV show Zayka Punjab da, a food review show in which the hosts travelled to different parts of Punjab to taste and review local restaurants of the region.

In the same year, he also made and appeared in the short film Turn Back Time in a 50-Hour Filmmaking Challenge. In 2017, he starred in the Punjabi psychological thriller film Kawela. Other Punjabi films in which he appeared include Nankana (2018) and Sorry 22 Sorry (2019).

In 2016, he played the role of a police inspector in an episode of the TV show Savdhaan India on Life OK. In 2018, he featured in a Telugu reincarnation romantic action drama film Mehbooba.

He made his Bollywood debut with the 2018 film Manmarziyaan in which he played the role of the father of Vicky Sandhu  (played by Vicky Kaushal). He featured in the 2019 Punjabi song Bapu by Mangi Mahal. He has appeared in the music videos of various singers like Gurnam Bhullar, Kaur B, and Malkit Singh.

In 2020, he starred in Zee Punjabi’s Khasma Nu Khani in which he played the role of Jolly uncle.
