Tigers’ Miguel Cabrera reaches 3,000 hits milestone

Detroit Tigers star hitter Miguel Cabrera joined an elite club on Saturday, becoming the 33rd major leaguer to reach 3,000 career hits. 

Cabrera, 39, reached the milestone after grounding an opposite-field single to right in the first inning of Detroit’s game against the Colorado Rockies.
